The Super Maxi product is ideal for use in farming/forestry and civil applications where a strong, lightweight, semiflexible concrete alternative is required for stormwater and culvert applications.
Super Maxi is manufactured from PE100 (polythene) which has a proven design life of minimum 50 years.
Internal diameters of 900, 1000, 1200, 1500 and 1800mm
It can be produced in continuous lengths from 1 -13 metres and can be provided with an integral belling socket for joining.

SUPER MAXI Culvert Twin-wall Culvert Pipe - Socket End
Equivalent Capacities for Multiple Barrel Culverts - Guidelines
In some cases a large single culvert may not be the most practical option.
See Table 2.1 on Culverts Guidelines for suggested construction sizes and options, this gives equivalent multiple barrel culvert installations, which will provide the required culvert capacity.
Application
One of the distinct advantages of PE over rigid alternatives such as concrete and PVC is that to some degree the pipe is ‘flexible’, this allows point loadings and temporary overloading of the pipe to be accommodated, rather than suffer catastrophic failure in the case of rigid products.
Cost Effective Solutions
The Supermaxi pipe produced by RD Manufacturing Ltd is a lightweight and dimensionally stable, profile pipe and is made in internal diameters of 1000, 1200, 1500 and 1800mm .
Supermaxi features an outer profile for strength and a clean inner surface. It can be produced in continuous lengths from 1 -13 metres and can be provided with an integral belling socket for joining.
Supermaxi has the advantage of having excellent ring stiffness and a weight advantage compared to concrete of being less than 10%
Storm water/detention/retention tanks
Storm water/detention /retention tanks
Spiral pipe made from Pe100 can be used in innovative ways for the underground storage of water. Due to its inherent profile strength (as apposed to single wall rotational PE tanks) they have the ability to be buried under high load areas such as driveways and carparks.
If a 1800mm dia x 12 metre long tank is manufactured it can hold over 30,000 litres
Pe100 has the advantage of being able to be plastic welded , so infinite ways of installing end plates and baffles.
